Bye Bye Bobby Boy

All his bags are packed, he's ready to go....

Tomorrow at four in the afternoon, Central Time, Kidney Bean officially leaves the Midwest to try living and loving in the West Coast. I'm sincerely happy for him. He deserves to go on a journey that would let him spread his wings and be as content and appreciated as he can be. As he deserves to be.

At the same time, a huge part of me can't smile. I'm sad. Kidney has been a very big part of my life in and out of Accenture. For the past three years, he has been a steady presence. He was always, always there for me for the 1,095 or more days that we have known each other.

He was an awesome boss and I learned alot from him and he gave me all the opportunities he could find for me to grow and improve myself.

He was an awesome friend that never wavered in our friendship regardless of whether we were in the same country or not.

We have built a history together and a chapter in the story of our lives have inextricably merged. Even if distance and circumstance directs us down different paths the rest of our lives, the words and paragraphs that make up the happy tale of our friendship will never change.

I will miss you alot, Kidney. I will miss the lessons on the correct use of prepositions, dissertations about Family Guy, and just laughing and talking and laughing some more about the most random of things.

Take care. Keep in touch. Goodluck.

About a Boy

I was looking at photos on my sister-in-law's site and saw some from Easter. I was surprised at how grown-up the neph is. He is no longer the laughing/crying baby in the videos I posted before. He is now.... well.... a boy!

I've fallen in love with this boy long before he even formed his sparkling eyes, pink cheeks, and unmistakable "Flores" bottom lip. This boy who has yet to really know me and understand how I figure in his life. This boy who is probably a couple of decades away from knowing what I am capable of doing for his sake and happiness.

I love him. It's as simple as that. I love him as I sit, stand, sleep, wake, eat, breathe. Even from afar, a piece of my soul resides in his heart and I have nothing but hope after hope that he has the best life he can have and end up being the best version of himself.

Grand Lux Cafe and Millenium Park with Tessa Wessa

Had a BIG lunch with RJ, James, and Tessa at The Grand Lux Cafe, then tried to burn off some off the calories by strolling oh-so-slowly around Millenium Park.

Shopping Trip at Kenosha, Wisconsin. Say cheese!

Crazy Tessa is in town and we all decided to rent a car and drive to Wisconsin to do some hardcore shopping. We even made a trip to Gurnee Mills as if our wallets weren't crying uncle yet.

We took photos before, during, and after the madness. Click on the link below to see what shopping does to us. :)
