My officemate, Rhon, and I attended a workshop about innovation. One of the take-aways from the workshop is to feed our heads with "mind junk" in order to foster a culture of innovation. One of the ways suggested is a program the trainer called "O.N.T.A.W." which stands for "One New Thing A Week".
I did my O.N.T.A.W. #1 last Sunday.
I've always had shoulder pains and I just shrugged it off as a part of my life as a chick with an 8 to 5 desk job. Usually, I seek relief by getting massages, soaking in hot baths, and swiping on tons of Bengay. Last Sunday, I finally succumbed to my mom's insistent urging that try Nugabest at Market! Market!

All I can say is that it was a pretty interesting experience. The jury is still out as to whether it is a better than a massage in getting rid of the kinks in my shoulders in the long term, but I did feel pretty good after the treatment. Bottomline, the whole process - the heat, the kneading, the tense pad - is something I will try again.
